Incident response, site reliability initiatives, and occasional feature development on a legacy Perl-based subscription management and payments system. Mainly troubleshoot, fix, and verify fixes (both at the application code level and by working with the database directly) for internal and customer-reported issues, though this is a generalist role that also includes systems administration, database administration, feature development, and project management elements. Requires applying application-level, database, and architectural knowledge in high-pressure situations.

Feature development and occasional incident response on the same legacy Perl-based subscription management and payments system. Learned my way around a 15-year old codebase and in-house ORM. Designed, built, and operated microservices as well as extensions to the main application. Helped migrate the application from Oracle DB to PostgreSQL. Found and fixed application-level security vulnerabilities.

Developed firmware in C for a smartphone-controlled electric grill, targeting the TI CC2640 microcontroller. Built out the device's UI stack, Bluetooth Low Energy interface, and thermal controls logic.
